GOLDEN HILL STATE PARK, OPRHP, NY58 site(s) found
DescriptionGolden Hill State Park was acquired by New York State in 1962. The Thirty Mile Lighthouse, decommissioned by the U.S. Coast Guard in 1958, is part of the park and is available for rental year-round. This landmark's rich history can be enjoyed by park visitors, thanks to the Friends of Thirty Mile Point Lighthouse. Golden Hill State Park also offers camping, fishing, boating, shoreline hiking, picnicking, nature walks, and walking tours of the lighthouse site. Summer events at the park are numerous. Winter activities are also available, including snowshoeing and five miles of snowmobile trails that run through the park.Geography:Golden Hill State Park is located in Niagara County, on the south shore of Lake Ontario. Recreation:Activities here include basketball, horse shoes, biking, boating, fishing, hiking, hunting, camping, picnicking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing (depending on the season). Facilities:The park has a boat launch area, campsites with and without electric, restrooms with showers, a dumping station, pavilions, picnic tables, a playground, playing fields, and a nature trail. Available for rent year-round, Lighthouse Cottage is a full-service vacation rental with a stunning view of Lake Ontario. Nearby Attractions:Nearby state parks include Four Mile Creek State Park, Hamlin Beach State Park, Lakeside Beach State Park, Niagara Falls State Park, and Fort Niagara State Park. Alerts and Important InformationTo insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made. Furnished Tent Rentals available on sites 42, 60 and 64. Check it out!! Campers arriving after 9:00 p.m. are asked to call the park or risk losing the reservation. The Lighthouse Cottage is a 7 day Minimum stay during PEAK season; SAT to SAT only. NO PETS allowed in Lighthouse Cottage. Authorized service animals only. Access Pass is NOT accepted for the Lighthouse Cottage. Peak season: A person may be the primary site occupant for 14 total days of camping within a 16 day period.
