DescriptionPixley Falls State Park's main attraction is the 50-foot waterfall close to the picnic area. This picturesque park also features steep, wooded hills and a mountain stream. A nature trail meanders through the forest and past Pixley Falls. The park has streamside access to numerous miles of trout-filled streams. A cross-country ski trail runs along the Black River Canal, just inside the park entrance. This park is a treasure in any season.Geography:Pixley Falls State Park is located off NY Route 46, in Oneida County. Recreation:Popular activities here include fishing, hiking, hunting, picnicking, and wintertime cross-country skiing. Nearby Attractions:Nearby camping facilities include Delta Lake State Park and Verona Beach State Park. Other attractions are Oriskany Battlefield State Historic Site, Old Erie Canal State Historic Park, and Steuben Memorial State Historic Site. Services & Amenities:Alerts and Important Information**BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT** will take place at Pixley Falls State Park during the 2010 season and the park will be CLOSED. When the park reopens it will be for Day-Use only. The park will no longer be a camping facility. We apologize for the inconvenience.
