Description
This park is one of the largest inland marinas in New York State. In addition to providing excellent boating facilities, this park offers wonderful opportunities for picnicking, bird watching or just taking a stroll along the Cayuga Lake shoreline.Geography:
During the past million years, giant sheets of ice, or glaciers, covered New York State several times, dramatically transforming the land in its path. In this region, the most recent glacier moved through shallow river valleys leaving in their place deep troughs with steep sides. When the glacier receded north about 10,000 years ago, water filled these new troughs creating the 11 Finger Lakes including Cayuga Lake. At 38.1 miles in length and 435 feet in depth at its deepest spot, Cayuga Lake is one of the largest Finger Lakes.
Following the last Ice Age, streams eroded gorges in the steep surrounding hillsides and deposited sediments in the southern end of the lake creating a great marsh. Over the years, the marsh was filled to create land for the City of Ithaca.

Blading, Boarding and Bicycling Safety:
Safety helmets must be worn by children 14 years of age and younger.
Pets: Family pets must be leashed and attended at all times outside of the designated, fenced off-leash area.
Off-Leash Dog Park: A fenced off-leash area is now available at the park for dogs. All rules and regulations must be followed to use the area.
Proof of rabies vaccination must be by Veterinarian's certificate-the collar tag will not be accepted as proof.

The facility is located within the Finger Lakes wine country with several located on the water. Cornell University, Ithaca College, Ithaca nearby.

Quiet Hours: Quiet hours in the marina are from 10PM to 7AM and are STRICTLY enforced. Your cooperation is appreciated by park staff and your fellow boaters.
Check In/Check Out: Check-in time is 3PM. Boaters must occupy the slip by 9PM on the scheduled day of arrival or call the park office. Check-out time is 11AM.
Marina Policies and Procedures
- Boat Trailer storage will be available in designated areas only.
- Overnight parking of RVs is prohibited in this park, please book a campsite elsewhere for your RV.
- Use of generators is prohibited in the marina basin.
- The region reserves that right to assign or re-assign slips in order to efficiently utilize all available slips.
- All Park rules and regulations as well as application State and Federal rules and regulations will be observed. Parks reserves the right to terminate, without prior notice or refund, any permit issued when rules and regulations are violated.
- Water and electrical accessories must be approved by the Park Manager. Water may not be available for early or late season. Modification of park electric equipment and supply is prohibited.
- The Permittee assumes all risks related to this permit and shall be solely responsible and answerable in damages for all accidents or injuries to persons or property, and hereby covenants and agrees to indemnify and keep harmless the People of the State of New York; Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation; their officers and employees; from any and all claims, whether direct or indirect, arising out of the operation of this Permit, or the carelessness, negligence or improper conduct of the Permittee or any servant, agent or employee thereof.
- The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation shall not be responsible for property damage or personal injury to the Permittee, or any person upon the premises at the invitation of the Permittee.
- Pet owners must be able to show certificate proof of current rabies inoculation for pets on board. All pets are to be on a 6-foot maximum leash at all times and can not be left unattended.
Payment and Refunds:
No refunds will be made for licenses that are revoked or terminated. Refunds for the season will be made only on licenses voluntarily surrendered and cancelled before the 15th day of the marina’s operating season . Refund requests received after the 15th day of the operating season will be reviewed by regional staff. If approved, customers requesting refunds by June 1 would receive 75% back, those requesting refunds by June 15th would receive 50% back, those requesting refunds by July 1st would receive 25% back. No refunds would be issued following July 1st. All approved refunds are subject to a $7.25 fee.
