Description

Long Point State Park is in a remote area, offering a peaceful, relaxing camping experience. Situated on a peninsula facing Chaumont Bay on Lake Ontario, the park is small and almost completely surrounded by water, with great views from anywhere in the park. Campsites are fairly open and grass-covered, with scattered trees, a playground, and picnic areas. The bay provides a protected harbor for boats, and Lake Ontario offers excellent boating and fishing opportunities. Constant lake breezes keep the park cool and mosquito-free.

Boating, fishing, waterfowl hunting, picnicking, and camping are the park's main activities.

Facilities:

The park has a boat launch site and dockage. Boat rentals are available with or without a motor. A picnic pavilion with tables and playground facilities are also available. Park facilities are accessible to disabled visitors.

To insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made.

Only 2 pets per site are permitted. Current rabies certificate required. Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6ft at all times.

There is a recycling program in effect at the park.

Please keep fires in designated areas only.

Patrons must be 18 years of age to register for a site.

There is no store at the park.

Bagged ice and firewood sales are available at the park.

No kegs allowed on campsites. No person under age 21 shall possess/consume alcohol.

There are no beaches or swimming areas at this park.

There is a 14 day maximum stay rule during peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day).

Looking to reserve for just 1-night? If you make your reservation within 3 days of your arrival you can book a 1-night stay online or through the Call Center. This applies only to campsites.

Peak season: A person may be the primary site occupant for 14 total days of camping within a 16 day period. S/he must leave the park for 48 hours once they have stayed the maximum number of days allowed before beginning a new reservation.
