Description

Robert Moses State Park is located partly on the mainland and partly on Barnhart Island. Visitors reach the park through a tunnel under the Eisenhower Lock. The park is spacious, home to a large variety of flora and fauna. The nature center also offers holiday, special events and school outreach programs. The park's nature, hiking and cross-country skiing trails wind through fields, forests and wetlands, with overlooks showcasing spectacular views. In winter, the park also welcomes snowmobilers

Geography:

Robert Moses State Park is located on the St. Lawrence River. This park is NOT located on Long Island.

Recreation:

The park offers a multitude of recreational opportunities, camping, a marina and boat launch, some of the best fishing in the Northeast, picnic areas, a swimming beach, tennis courts and a year round nature center. The nature center also offers holiday, special events and school outreach programs. Facilities:

Most park facilities are accessible to disabled visitors. The park has a beach, trails, a marina, a picnic area with a playground, and nature center, and restrooms with showers. Boat launch and boat rentals are available.

Nearby Attractions:

Gas stations and major shopping centers are within five miles, as are a power dam and Eisenhower Lock. The Thousand Islands region is about an hour and a half away from the park.
