Sharp Bridge Campground is the ideal camping location for hikers who want to take daily hiking excursions in the Adirondack High Peaks, since it is a short distance from some of the most renowned hiking areas in the state. The park offers a variety of other recreational opportunities, including canoeing, boating, fishing, and bicycling. The campground is driving distance from beautiful sights and plenty of entertainment.
Sharp Bridge Campground is located on the west shore of the Schroon River, near the Adirondack Mountains.
Boating opportunities exist nearby; canoes are welcome at Courtney Pond and Dead Water Pond, 3 miles away. Larger boats may visit Schroon Lake and Paradox Lake,10-20 miles away. Little Schroon River, which flows through the campground, receives annual stocking of brown trout, and brook trout for fishermen. The campground has access to hundreds of miles of trails for all levels of hikers.
Park facilities include tent and RV campsites, a picnic area, a playground area, showers, and a trailer dumping station.
Lake Placid and the Olympic Venues are located to the northwest. The Lake Champlain region is to the east and northeast.
