Westcott Beach State Park is a popular day-use and camping park on Lake Ontario, with rolling, wooded hills and open, grassy meadows sheltered by Henderson Bay. A spectacular view of Lake Ontario can be seen from the overlook near the plateau camping area. A small marina is adjacent to the long, sandy beach, to accommodate anglers interested in Lake Ontario's excellent black bass fishing. The park also has a children's playground, picnic areas, and hiking trails that do double duty in winter for cross-country skiing.Geography:
Westcott Beach State Park is a state park in Jefferson County, located at the eastern end of Lake Ontario, in the Town of Henderson.

Considered a flagship facility, visitors can enjoy beach swimming, boating, children's recreation programs, fishing, hiking, hunting, picnicking, group camping, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
Facilities:
The park's many amenities include individual campsites, 8 full-service cottages, a group campsite, pavilion, picnic areas, reservable picnic areas with canopies, a playground, and showers. Additional amenities include a beach, a boat launch site, dockage, a dumping station, and playing fields. Most facilities are handicapped-accessible.

Nearby state parks include Southwick Beach State Park, Long Point State Park, Selkirk Shores State Park, Burnham Point State Park, Whetstone Gulf State Park and Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site.

Campers must be at least 18 years old to register and occupy a campsite or cottage.

There is a mandatory recycling program in effect.
Swimming is permitted only when lifeguards are on duty.
Campers must be 21 years old or older to possess or consume alcohol.
No kegs are allowed at the park.

Season Restrictions:
Cottages 1 & 2 run Friday - Friday during peak season.
Cottages 3, 4, 5 run Saturday - Saturday during peak season.
Cottages 6, 7, 8 run Sunday - Sunday during peak season.
All cottages are a 2-night minimum during non-peak season.

ATTENTION PET OWNERS:
Current proof of rabies inoculation is required at check-in (metal tags will not be accepted).
At any time during your stay, pet owners may be required to provide proof of rabies inoculation upon request. Be sure to have this information available to present to park staff.
Where pets are permitted, there is a maximum limit of 2 pets per site.
Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6ft and under control at all times.
Do not leave pets unattended and always clean up after them.
Pet owners/permit holders are liable for any damage, personal injury, or nuisance caused by the pet.
Pets are only allowed in designated areas.
Pets are not allowed in the day-use or beach areas.
SWIMMING: Each year the campground makes every effort to provide safe swimming opportunities by testing the water and by keeping the swimming areas staffed with lifeguards. Please be aware that if the safety of our swimmers is compromised due to lack of lifeguard coverage or water quality issues, swimming will be prohibited. Swimming cannot be a guaranteed activity; therefore, we cannot offer refunds on camping stays. We apologize for this inconvenience as it may occur with little advance notice.

PRE-REGISTRATION: Have an existing reservation? Don't forget to PRE-REGISTER!! 7 days prior to arrival you can sign into Reserve America and pre-register. IT SAVES TIME when checking in.
LENGTH OF STAY: A camping party and their equipment may occupy a site for a maximum of 14 continuous nights. After which, the camping party and equipment must leave the site and facility for 48 hours before registering again for another site.
Please Note: To ensure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window cannot be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made.
