Loon, otters, beaver, owl, deer, ducks, and bear are just some of the species that inhabit Forked Lake. In fact, bear lockers are provided at the sites to discourage the bears.
The Facility
Forked Lake has 78 sites that are accessible by either foot or by boat with a third of the sites being strictly boat access only. 95% of the sites are on the water and 85% have docks.

Park Features
The main section of the lake is approximately 5 miles long and a quarter mile wide. Canoes and rowboats can be rented at the campground. Popular hiking in the area include Blue Mountain, Owls Head Mountain and Upper and lower Sargent Ponds.
