Camping reservations can be made up to 9 months in advance. Sites become available at the 9-month window at the following times:
March 15 - Labor Day: 8AM Monday - Friday, 9AM Saturday & Sunday.
Day after Labor Day - March 14: 9AM Monday - Friday, 9AM Saturday & Sunday.

2026 Long Island State Park Dashboard Permits (4x4 Fishing, 4x4 Surfing, Night Sport Fishing, Stargazing, Camp Hero, Nighttime Photography, Regional SCUBA Diving and Metal Detecting) are on sale December 2, 2025, through 11:59 PM on March 31, 2026. To purchase via phone, please call 1-800-456-2267. There will be NO in-person sales.

2026 Annual Caumsett Fishing Access Permits will go on sale at 9:00 AM on SATURDAY, January 3, 2026, and is limited to the first 550 applicants ONLY. This permit will sell out quickly. There will be 500 for sale online, and 50 for sale through the Reserve America Call Center. To purchase via phone, please call 1-800-456-2267. There will be NO in-person sales.
