Description
Limekiln Lake is known to be a great family camping spot, with campsites in the forest and activities ranging from boating and fishing to hiking and swimming. The park is also close to many area attractions.
Geography:
Limekiln Lake Campground is locate in the Adirondacks.
Recreation:
Motor boats, rowboats, and canoes are allowed, for boating or fishing; rowboat and canoe rentals are available. A wide variety of fish, including yellow perch, bullhead, blue gill, and splake inhabit in the lake.
Facilities:
The park offers tent and trailer sites; a picnic area with tables, fireplaces, and pavilion rental; flush toilets; hot showers; a trailer dump station; a recycling center; handicapped accessibility; a sand beach; a swimming area; a bathhouse; a nature trail; small boat launch; and canoe rentals.
Nearby Attractions:
Summer activities abound in nearby Inlet and Old Forge. The Old Forge region offers several restaurants and golf courses; and Inlet and Indian Lake also offer golf courses. Also nearby is the Adirondack Museum at Blue Mountain Lake.

From New York State Thruway (I-90), take Exit 31 at Utica; go north on Rte. 12 to Alder Creek; take Rte. 28 through villages of Old Forge and Inlet. Just outside of Inlet, turn right on Limekiln Lake Road, then go 1 1/2 miles and turn right at campground sign. From New York State Thruway (I-90) at Amsterdam, take Exit 27 and go north on Rte. 30 to Blue Mountain Lake. Head west on Rte. 28. Just prior to the Village of Inlet, turn left on Limekiln Lake Road. Drive 1 1/2 miles and turn right at the campground sign.
