Description
Gilbert Lake State Park's lake and three ponds lie in wooded, hilly terrain in the foothills of the Catskills. In addition to cabins and campsites, the park has more than 12 miles of interconnecting trails for hikers, skiers, snowmobilers and snowshoers. Playgrounds and a disc golf course, as well as swimming, boating, and fishing are also featured.
Geography:
Gilbert Lake State Park is located in the foothills of the Catskills, north of Oneonta. Much of the park lies in the town of New Lisbon, in Otsego County.
Recreation:
Activities include biking, boating, fishing, hiking, hunting, disc golf, and a softball field. In the wintertime; snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.

Park visitors can enjoy the beach, boating, accessible cabins and campsites (with showers and a dumping station), a disc golf course, playground, food concessions, and picnic tables.
