Description

Darien Lakes State Park's hilly terrain features woodlands, ravines, streams, and twelve-acre Harlow Lake. The park's campsites, equipped with electricity, also have heated comfort stations and showers. Even more of a draw is the park's sandy beach. Playgrounds and picnic areas allow for outdoor family time, and everyone will enjoy crossing the rustic bridge over the lake channel to aptly named Picnic Island. Excellent fishing for largemouth black bass can be found here, as well as hiking and horseback riding trails. The park is just as much fun in winter, when multiple-use trails are open for hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling, and an outdoor ice skating rink.

Geography:

Darien Lakes State Park is located in western Genesee County.

Recreation:

Biking, horseback riding, camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, picnicking, and wintertime snowmobiling and cross-country skiing, are among the many activities at the park.

Facilities:

The park offers a beach, a bridle path, picnic tables and pavilions, a playground, and campsites. The park allows rabies-certified pets in all its campsites, so bring Fido along!
