Take the Virtual Tour! - ROBERT G WEHLE STATE PARK

Robert G. Wehle State Park is the region's newest park. Among the facilities immediately available to the public is the residential compound featuring the main house, guest quarters, the "studio" and formal gardens. Extremely private, the area can accommodate up to 8 people.


The former estate of Mr. Wehle, the park boasts 1,100 acres and over 17,000 ft of spectacular Lake Ontario shoreline.


Park activities include 10 miles of hiking/mountain biking trails, tennis court, picnicking and cross-country skiing. Hunting is allowed in designated areas during the season.


The main cottage features a sun porch, two spacious bedrooms (with private baths), living room (with gorgeous fireplace) and a fully applianced kitchen and laundry room. The guest cottage features two spacious bedrooms (with private baths), bay windows and a kitchenette with sink, microwave and small refrigerator. The third building is a former artist's studio and serves as a charming recreation room with a foosball table.

  • Access Pass or Lifetime Liberty Pass NOT ACCEPTED for the cottage.
  • NO pets or smoking is permitted in the cottages or studio.
  • During PEAK season the compound is rented from Sunday to Sunday for stays of 7 or 14 days only.
  • $500.00 Security deposit will be required upon check in, in the form of a check or credit card, NO CASH. Eight people maximum/two vehicles. Each additional vehicle, charged $7.00 per day.

Outside, the compound offers a tennis court and over a thousand acres of undeveloped parkland. Renters can enjoy footpaths along Lake Ontario. Included with the rental of the property are linens, towels, kitchenware, glassware, dinnerware and a washer and dryer.

Directions to the Park: Take Rte 81 North from Syracuse to Exit 41. Take Rte 178 west to intersection with Rte 3. Crossing Rte 3 proceed straight ahead on Military Road for approximately 5 miles. Park entrance is on the left.
