DescriptionVerona Beach State Park, located on the eastern shore of Oneida Lake, is a picnicker's and camper's delight. Shaded picnic areas and the campground are adjacent to the beach, with an excellent view of the water. The lake, Black Creek, cattail marshes, and bottomland hardwood swamps give Verona Beach one of the most diverse aquatic habitats in the Central Region, and well worth a hike on the "Woods and Wetland" nature trail. The winter season hosts snowmobilers, cross-country skiers, and ice fishermen. The eastern portion of the park is open for hunting deer, small game, and waterfowl, in season.
Verona Beach State Park is located on the east shore of Oneida Lake in Oneida County, northwest of the City of Oneida and south of Sylvan Beach. Oneida Creek enters the lake south of the park.
Visitors enjoy beach swimming, biking, horseback riding, hiking hunting, fishing (and ice fishing), snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing.
The park features a beach, bridle path, campsites, showers, dumping stations, food concessions, a nature trail, pavilions, and picnic tables. Firewood is sold at the park.
Nearby attractions include Delta Lake State Park, Chittenango Falls State Park, Green Lakes State Park, Lorenzo State Historic Site, and Oriskany Battlefield State Historic Site.

Alerts and Important InformationEach year the campground makes every effort to provide safe swimming opportunities by testing the water and by keeping the swimming areas staffed with lifeguards. Please be aware that if the safety of our swimmers is compromised, swimming will be restricted. In the case of Verona Beach, the beach often has a high occurrence of blue green algae which prohibits swimming during July and August and therefore cannot be a guaranteed activity. We apologize for this inconvenience as it may occur with little advance notice.
PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS! The bathhouse is nearly complete and the parking lot is open! Nearby picnic shelters will be under construction for the remainder of the season.

To insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made.
Peak season: A person may be the primary site occupant for 14 total days of camping within a 16 day period. S/he must leave the park for 48 hours once they have stayed the maximum number of days allowed before beginning a new reservation.IMPORTANT: New York State Parks encourages everyone to be safe outdoors.
